• 1910- It was here that Japan colonized Korea. The country became an invaluable source of profits for the colonialists, both in the form of raw materials and (crucially) labor. Untold numbers of Koreans were forcibly shipped to Japan and effectively enslaved. Many performed hard labor, while others were coerced into becoming “comfort women.” Japan carried out these atrocities with the help of wealthy Korean landowners and industrialists, who, just as they had found favor with their Japanese masters, would find favor with the US occupation government and later fill key positions in the south Korean state
• Throughout this period, Japan and the United States both sought to dominate the countries of the Pacific Rim so that they could lay sole claim to the riches of these countries. Tokyo followed an aggressive and expansionary foreign policy, backed by the gun, to drive other imperialist powers from the region. The US, already with a dominant position in the Philippines, Guam, Hawaii and Samoa, sought an open door for its exporters and investors in China. With both sides seeking a dominant role, it was inevitable they would sooner or later come to blows.
• Before the atom bombs fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japanese occupiers of Hapcheon province of Korea created a DELIBERATE  famine.
• Survival was at stake.
• Most of the Korean  people was shipped off to Hiroshima and Nagasaki to work in the military Industrial complex.
• Rest all the Japanese cities has been firebombed by the Americans –leaving Hiroshima and Nagasaki unscathed , despite being valuable targets .
• There was a major evacuation of Japanese from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In Hiroshima you could NOT see any Japanese children. They were strangely missing
• Today Hapchoen – a county in South Gyeongsang Province in South Korea, is nicknamed “ KOREAs HIROSHIMA “
• Months after WW2 was over severely burnt ( radiation ) survivors thronged in Hapcheon-- a most bizzare scene

What is NOT recorded is that Koreans were substituted , and staying in Japanese homes instead of slave barracks
Ironically the Koreans at the epicenter did NOT feel any pain—they died instantly. The Japanese at the periphery suffered more .

2.3 million OR 23 lakhs Koreans  worked as slave labour in Japan in the years 1939 to 1945 ..    These were from all over Korea.
The Association of Korean Atomic Bomb Victims estimates that  70,000 Koreans died in the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki— this is gross underestimation.
